An app is still blocked, or End doesn’t respond. What can I do?

Short answer: Check what Home says is protected, and end it, or use Stop all protection in Settings. If a button doesn’t respond, close Decide and open it again: your areas, apps and times are kept.

If an app is still set aside

  1. Open Decide and read the card at the top of Home. If protection is on, end it there.
  2. If a scheduled time took over when you ended your own protection, the card shows that time: end it too, or use Stop all protection.
  3. If Home says nothing is protected but the app is still set aside, open Settings and tap Stop all protection.
  4. Open the app again. If it is still set aside, write to us.

If End or Stop all doesn’t respond

  1. Wait a few seconds: Decide may be finishing something else, such as checking your plan with Apple.
  2. If nothing happens, close Decide and open it again: swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause, swipe Decide’s card up, then open Decide. This only restarts Decide so its buttons respond: it does not remove protection, and your setup is kept.
  3. Tap End protection or Stop all protection again.
  4. If it still doesn’t respond, write to us with your iOS version and what you saw. Meanwhile, a protection with an end time, and every scheduled time, still ends by itself at its end time; one with no end time lasts until it is ended in Decide.

Messages you may see

  • “Decide couldn’t stop protection just now, so nothing was changed. Try again.” — tap Try again; Stop all protection is there too.
  • “Decide can’t confirm that all of this protection is in place on this iPhone.” — open Decide again: it checks and reapplies what you chose each time it opens.
  • “Decide couldn’t apply all of this protection on this iPhone.” — some of what you chose is protected and the rest is not. End the protection and start it again.
  • “Your changes aren’t in effect.” — protection is still using your previous selection.

Still need help?

Write to us by email. It helps to say what happened, what you expected, and your iOS version. In Decide, Settings → Contact Us opens a message to the same address.
