Why can’t I take a Mini Break?
Short answer: A Mini Break needs an area that is protecting now, protection Decide has confirmed, Decide unlocked, no other Mini Break in progress, and apps chosen one by one.
Common reasons
Take a Mini Break is missing or unavailable when:
- nothing is protected right now — Mini Break only lends an app from a protection that is on;
- Decide isn’t unlocked, or is still checking your plan (Settings → Plan says Checking…); see “Why is Decide asking me to unlock it?”;
- Decide hasn’t confirmed this protection yet: “A Mini Break is available once Decide has confirmed this protection.”;
- a Mini Break is already running, or Decide hasn’t yet confirmed that the last app is protected again;
- the area’s apps were chosen as a whole category in an earlier version: choose them individually under What can wait.
If a Mini Break doesn’t start
Decide says why, for example “Decide couldn’t start the Mini Break.” or “This protection has changed. Choose the app again.” Where it can help, Try again appears.
If Home says Decide couldn’t protect the app from your Mini Break again, ending that protection clears it.
