What do Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime include?

Short answer: All three plans unlock the same Decide. Setting up is free; starting protection needs a plan. Monthly and Yearly renew automatically until you cancel; Lifetime is one payment, with no subscription.

The plans

Decide is free to set up, and everything you configure stays available whether or not you have a plan. Starting protection needs one: Monthly, Yearly or Lifetime. Yearly can begin with a seven-day free trial when Apple says you are eligible. Prices are shown in Decide before you buy.

Monthly and Yearly are subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel. Lifetime is a one-time purchase, with no subscription. There is no Decide account: purchases belong to your Apple Account.

The Decide Terms cover plans, Lifetime and refunds; they are linked in Settings → Legal and at the foot of this page.

See or change your plan

  1. On Home, tap the gear to open Settings.
  2. Plan shows your current plan, Checking… while Decide asks Apple, or Not unlocked with Unlock Decide.
  3. Restore Purchases finds a purchase made with this Apple Account.

Cancelling a subscription

Subscriptions are managed by Apple: in iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next renewal.

Cancelling stops the next renewal; it doesn’t end the period you have already paid for. Decide stays unlocked until that period ends.

When the subscription ends, Decide stops protecting until it is unlocked again, and your areas, apps and times are all kept. Decide learns that a plan has ended when you open it. Until then, times that were already scheduled may still start.
